Astrology: Signs, Compatibility & Transits
Astrology maps the sky at the moment of your birth onto a 12-house wheel. Your sun sign is just the start — houses, transits and inter-chart dynamics fill in the rest.
The 12 zodiac signs
Each sign belongs to one of four elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water) and one of three qualities (Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable). The element shapes temperament; the quality shapes how a sign initiates, sustains, or adapts.

Compatibility
Compatibility in astrology is less about sun-sign matches and more about how the full charts interact — especially Venus and Mars placements, and which houses each person's planets activate in the other's chart. Element pairings give a rough first read:
High energy — Air fans Fire's enthusiasm; ideas spark quickly.
Steady ground — Water nourishes; Earth provides structure.
Tension — steam or scalding; needs conscious effort.
Practical friction — grounding meets restlessness.
Detailed compatibility guides — by sign pair — are coming soon.
The 12 astrological houses
The birth chart is divided into 12 houses, each ruling a different area of life. Planets in a house focus their energy on that domain; an empty house isn't absent from your life — it's just ruled by the sign on its cusp.
Transits
Transits track where the planets are right now and how they're aspecting your natal chart. A transit doesn't cause events — it describes the energetic weather. Fast movers like the Moon and Mercury create short-term shifts; slow movers like Saturn and Pluto mark periods that can span years.
Saturn return (around age 29 and 58) is the most-discussed transit — a roughly 2.5-year period of structural reckoning in the house Saturn occupies in your natal chart. Jupiter transits, by contrast, tend to expand and open doors.
